How to replace the media?

After completing the day’s work, follow the operation steps to remove and replace the medias.

1

After removing the workpiece at the end of the cryogenic deflashing and retracting the barrel into the working bin, switch the operation screen to the manual screen.

2

Open the working bin door, remove the media protection plate (slightly raise the protection plate and push it inward to remove), and clean the remaining media in the working bin into the funnel. Please complete this step as soon as possible before water droplets form inside the bin.

 Be sure to wear gloves.

3

Close the working bin door.

4

Prepare a plastic bag that can accommodate the entire media bin.

5

Unfasten the spring clips on both sides of the media bin to remove the bin, being careful not to spill the medias during the operation.

6

Remove the media chute to clean the inside of the media bin, and collect the cleaned medias in the plastic bag.

7

Completely cover the top of the projectile bin with the prepared plastic bag, including the cover plate with the suction nozzle.

8

Press the vibration screen button on the manual screen to start the vibrating separator and recover all the medias left in the vibrating separator. After the recovery is complete, press the vibrating separator button on the manual screen to stop the vibrating separator.

Please complete the series of media recovery work as soon as possible before condensation water droplets appear.

9

Securely tie the opening of the bag containing the recovered medias to prevent them from falling and getting lost. These medias can be dried and sieved for reuse in the future.

10

Reset the media bin to its original position and reinstall the spring clips.

11

Open the door of the working bin and the motor room door of the vibrating separator to allow the interior of the equipment to dry thoroughly and remain dry.

Switch screen to the home page, then press the power button (X25) to cut off the power.

If the interior of the equipment is damp, it will cause the medias inside the vibrating separator to clump together.

 12

Turn off the residual current circuit breaker (ELB1) in the electrical control cabinet.

 13

Close the main valve of the liquid nitrogen delivery (or the main valve of the liquid nitrogen cylinder), open the vent valve at the liquid nitrogen inlet of the equipment, and completely release the residual liquid nitrogen in the pipeline between the liquid nitrogen tank and the equipment into the atmosphere. After confirming the complete discharge of the gas, close the vent valve.

   14

If a complete replacement of the medias is required, remove and clean the vibrating separator, media chamber, etc. at room temperature.
Open the chamber door of the working chamber and introduce dry medias.
