Cryogenic Deflashing of Injection Molded Bolt

Today we are trimming an injection molded part, which has a small volume. The image on the left shows a comparison with a one-yuan coin. The flash is located at the parting line, indicated by the red box in the image. Therefore, we are using a 60L machine for trimming and selecting 0.5mm diameter pellets for the machine.

 

The advantages of the 60L equipment need no introduction. The machine body is compact and can be adapted for use with a barcode scanner.

Cryogenic deflashing is completed in about ten minutes. Press the control button to rotate the part out, remove the deflashed injection molded part. Operators should wear insulated gloves to prevent frostbite from contact with condensation.

 

 

The image on the right clearly shows the comparison of the product before and after deflashing. The flash has been completely removed, and the product surface is smooth and undamaged. The packaged product will be sent back to the customer, who is quite satisfied with the result.
