Last month, a customer found us while looking for a zinc alloy edge trimming method. Our response was affirmative, but due to the shape and individual differences in composition of the products, the trimming effect would need to be tested before being demonstrated to the customer.
Upon receiving the zinc alloy joint pipe, we promptly assessed the burrs on the joint and found that the pipe was welded to the joint and could not be separated. Therefore, both had to be placed into the cold trimming machine for edge trimming. The thickness of the burrs ranged from 0.21 to 1.97mm as observed under an electron microscope, and the burrs were also clearly visible to the naked eye.
Due to the properties of zinc alloy materials, we use the MG explosion-proof machine for deflashing. This model is upgraded based on the basic model as follows:
1. The equipment surroundings are explosion-proof treated, and there is a pressure relief safety vent on the top.
2. The equipment chamber door is equipped with a special rod to resist explosion pressure.
The zinc alloy joint pipe, after being trimmed by the cryogenic deflashing machine, had visible large burrs removed, and upon magnification at 30 times under an electron microscope, the remaining small burrs were as low as 0.06mm, within the range required by the customer. The test results were good, and the product has now been sent to the customer for further performance testing.
